Storyboards
The technique of storyboarding is primarily used to aid the creation of video information. They are hand drawn sketches combined with an included hand written description detailing each scene of a video. This technique was expanded to include the organising of screen displays. This would include a hierarchical screen structure that shows how users can navigate between displays.

Traditional Methods of Display
Traditional display methods are unlikely to be completely replaced by computer based displays. This is due to the fact that traditional display methods convey information that is difficult to reproduce electronically. An example of this is mailing a handwritten birthday card instead of sending a birthday email, as handwritten cards tend to feel more personal to the reader.
